Reset a Device to Factory Default

Nếu như thiết bị Firebox hoặc XTM của bạn có vấn đề trong file cấu hình, hoặc bạn muốn tạo một file cấu hình mới cho thiết bị thì bạn có thể reset thiết  bị về giá trị mặc định.

Sau khi bạn thực hiện các reset thiết bị:

• Thiết bị Firebox/XTMsẽ ở trạng thái factory-default
• Đối với các thiết bị có màn hình LCD, key license sẽ không bị mất khi ở safe mode
• Đối với các thiết bị không có màn hình LCD, key license sẽ bị mất và cần được thêm lại sau khi reset thiết bị
• Tất cả tài khoản dùng để quản lý sẽ bị xóa và chỉ còn lại các tài khoản với mật khẩu mặc định
• Fireware XTM Web UI tự động khởi động Web Setup Wizard khi kết nối qua trình duyệt
• Thiết bị Firebox hoặc XTM sẽ được tự động phát hiện bởi WSM Quick Setup Wizard
• Thiết bị Firebox/XTM sẽ có thể được phát hiện như là một FireCluster member mới (nếu hỗ trợ FireCluster)

Khởi động thiết bị XTM trong môi trường Safe Mode

To restore the factory-default settings for a WatchGuard XTM device with an LCD display, you must start the XTM device in safe mode.

1. Power off the XTM device.
2. Press the down arrow on the device front panel while you power on the XTM device.
3. Continue to press the down arrow button until the message Safe Mode Starting appears on the LCD display.

When the device is started in safe mode, the LCD display shows the model number followed by the word safe. When you start a device in safe mode:

• The device temporarily uses the factory-default network and security settings. In safe mode, the IP address of interface 1 is 10.0.1.1.
• The current feature key is not removed. If you run the Quick Setup Wizard to create a new configuration, the wizard uses the feature key previously installed on the device.
• Your current configuration is deleted only when you save a new configuration file to the XTM device. If you restart the XTM device before you save a new configuration, the device uses your current configuration.

When you reset a Firebox T10, XTM 2 Series, or XTM 33 device, the original configuration settings are replaced by the factory-default settings. The current feature key is removed.

Use the times in this table for steps 4 and 5 of the reset procedure.

To reset the device:

1. For an XTM 2 Series or XTM 33 device, disconnect the power supply. For a T10 device, power off the device.
2. Press and hold the Reset button on the back of the device.
3. While you continue to hold the Reset button, reconnect the power supply or power on the device.
4. Continue to press the Reset button for the time indicated in the table, or until the Attn indicator begins to flash. Then release the button. Do not disconnect the power or power off the device yet.
   For some XTM 2 Series and XTM 33 devices, the Attn indicator does not flash.
5. Wait for the time indicated in the table for reset process to complete. When the reset is complete, the Attn indicator stays lit and does not flash.
6. Disconnect the power supply, or power off the device.
7. Reconnect the power supply, or power on the device.
   The Power Indicator lights and your device is reset.

When you reset a Firebox M440, the original configuration settings are replaced by the factory-default settings. The current feature key is removed.

To reset the device:

1. If necessary, use the power switch on the rear of the device to power it on.
2. Press and hold the Power button on the front of the device for three seconds to power it off.
3. Press and hold the Reset button on the front left of the device, and briefly press the Power button on the front of the device to power it on.
4. Continue to hold the Reset button until the Attn indicator begins to flash.
5. Release the Reset button.
6. Wait until the Attn indicator stops flashing and remains lit.
7. Press and hold the Power button for three seconds to power off the device.
8. Briefly press the Power button to power on the device.

Khởi động XTMv ảo hóa về Factory-Default Settings

For an XTMv VM (virtual machine), you cannot use the physical hardware to start the virtual machine in safe mode. Instead, to reset the virtual machine to factory-default settings, you must use the Fireware XTM CLI command restore factory-default.

To reset an XTMv VM on ESXi:

1. Log in to the vSphere client.
2. Select the XTMv VM from the inventory.
3. Select the Summary tab.
4. Click Open Console.
5. Log in with the admin account credentials.
6. Type the command restore factory-default.

To reset an XTMv VM on Hyper-V:

1. Log in to the Hyper-V server.
2. Right click the XTMv VM.
3. From the drop-down menu, select Connect.
4. Log in with the admin account credentials.
5. Type the command restore factory-default.
